It Snew!

Family!

So! You asked about the weather. It snew on Friday! The ground was too warm for it to stick to the roads or anything, but the grass, cars, rooftops and trees got a good few inches! Big flakes were coming down for a good part of the day. While Elder Kelly was tying his shoes in the morning, I prepared about a half dozen snowballs on the back of our car, Britney. (Our car's name is Britney). He didn't see it coming. I definitely won that snowball fight.

We've been visiting a few members Bishop asked us to see, and that's been good. Other than that, we've been trying to find new people to teach. The best best best way is for members to invite their friends to learn about the gospel. And I LOVED how the leaders of the Church exhorted us to do just that during the Saturday morning session of General Conference. Yay! Now we can all share the gospel! We've always been able to, but now we can all recommit ourselves to do it!

Mom, Dad, how's DC? I went there once. It was good. Good muffins. Okay, I only had a layover in the DC airport, but their muffins were good. Not anything super special, but good. I bet it's cold there!

Things are looking up in our area. We just keep working, and finding, and teaching, expounding, exhorting, and hopefully soon we'll be baptizing!

I loved several of the talks in General Conference. Did you watch all of it? I hope so! If not, you still can. And you all should! It is so super special to be able to hear from inspired servants of the Lord!
Apparently another one of my friends got engaged. Cool! Congratulations to Chris and Natalie! Live long and be excellent to each other!

I am excited about the hastening of the work. In D&C 88, the Lord said, "I will hasten my work in it's time." The time is now! 92 of the 210 missionaries in the Denver South mission have been out for 3.5 months or less. Crazy! There's a new generation of missionaries. There's a wave rushing in! The stone cut out of the mountain without hands is rolling faster than ever, and it's filling the whole earth! Be a part of it. "It becometh every man, when he hath been warned, to warn his neighbor." It's a joyful work. We live in a seriously exciting time in the history of the world, and it all revolves around the hastening of the Lord's work!
I love you all and hope things are going great! I pray for you always!

Until Monday,

Elder Rogers

A thought from Mom:

—Dieter F. Uchtdorf--General Conference October 2013
"The words spoken at general conference should be a compass that points the way for us during the coming months. If we listen to and follow the promptings of the Spirit, they will serve as a Liahona, guiding us through the unknown, challenging valleys and mountains that are ahead."
